On behalf of the session conveners, I would like to invite you to join our
interactive panel at the upcoming CEDAR Workshop 2026: Turning Scientific
Vision or Ideas into Funded Research, on June 25, 2026 from 13:30-15:30 CT
in Room 102.



Proposal writing is an essential skill in our field. As funding landscapes
and agency priorities evolve, this session aims to provide broadly
applicable guidance for navigating the funding environment across all
career stages. We will explore best practices for assembling, refining, and
submitting competitive research proposals.



Panelists: Professor Mark Conde, Professor Tai-Yin Huang, and Sophie
Phillips
Moderators: Julio Urbina & Romina Nikoukar



Our panelists will share perspectives from across the field and discuss
topics such as selecting the right funding opportunity, clarifying team
roles, and recycling declined proposals.
