Dear CEDAR Community,
We would like to share two community-serving model evaluation tools developed at NASA/NSF CCMC, ITMAP and CAMEL, and invite the community to explore them and provide feedback.
ITMAP (Ionosphere¨CThermosphere Model Assessment and Validation Platform) supports the evaluation of ionosphere and thermosphere models against observations. The platform covers key parameters including ionospheric plasma density, GNSS Single Point Positioning (SPP), and thermospheric neutral density, and offers model comparisons, validation metrics, and visualizations.
CAMEL (Comprehensive Assessment of Models and Events using Library tools) supports model evaluation across a broader range of space weather domains. Current capabilities include parameters such as foF2 and hmF2, thermospheric neutral density and satellite drag, solar wind speed and density, parameters relevant to internal charging assessment, and ground magnetic perturbations. Users can compare model results with observations and with other models using standard skill scores and interactive visualizations.

We welcome your feedback on the tools, the metrics and measurements employed, and suggestions for future improvements. Community input will help us improve both platforms and better serve the model evaluation needs of the community. CCMC also invites model developers to contribute their model outputs and participate in the evaluations.
