Join the SHIELD DRIVE Science Center (https://shielddrivecenter.com/) for an Open Session during the 4th SHIELD Annual Meeting. The topics will focus on the recent advancements in the study of the heliosphere through modeling and data interpretation, including missions like IBEX, Cassini, Voyager, New Horizons, and implications for IMAP. Speakers will include:
* Merav Opher (BU), SHIELD and the Heliosphere
* Federico Fraternale (UAH), Solar-Driven Compressible Disturbances in the Very Local Interstellar Medium and Kelvin-Helmholtz Instabilities in the Inner Heliosheath
* Chika Onubogu (BU), SHIELD Time-Dependent Model
* Matina Gkioulidou (JHU/APL), IMAP mission and open questions for the global heliosphere
* Dan Reisenfeld (LANL), Upcoming Outer Heliosphere Science from IMAP and Early ENA Observations
* Eric Zirnstein (Princeton) , Kelvin-Helmholtz Instability and Energetic Neutral Atoms in the Heliosphere
* Ethan Bair (BU), The Heliosphere with a Self-Consistent Pickup Ion Velocity Distribution Function
* Heather Elliott (SWRI), Slow Down of Solar Wind
