Dear Colleagues,
The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Clemson University invites applications for a postdoctoral fellow position in Atmospheric and Space Physics under the mentorship of Dr. Xueling Shi. The successful candidate will conduct research on plasma waves and space weather, with a focus on geomagnetically induced currents (GICs) and their driving mechanisms. The position involves analyzing data from spacecraft and ground-based instruments, including magnetometers, HF radars, and GNSS receivers. Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated expertise in data analysis and/or numerical modeling, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Review of applications will begin immediately; however, the position will remain open until filled. The anticipated start date is Spring/Summer 2026.
