Dear CEDAR community,
The USGS Geomagnetism Program seeks to hire multiple full-time Geophysicists (GS-11/12) and one Construction Control Representative (GS-12) to support its world-class network of ground magnetic observatories.
Geophysicist positions:
The Geophysicist position requires: occasional travel to geographically diverse and remote sites; sensor installation, calibration, and maintenance; analysis, processing, quality control, and archival of definitive geomagnetic data products; and maintenance of real time data and metadata services that support space weather operations. These are NOT research positions, but successful candidates will work closely with a team of USGS research scientists and engineers, as well as academic, government, and industry partners, to support the wider geomagnetism, space weather, geophysics, and space physics communities.
