CEDAR email: Joint CEDAR-GEM Student Day Form

Hi CEDAR community!

As student representatives for CEDAR, we are looking forward to this year's
joint CEDAR-GEM conference coming up in Des Moines! As part of the
longstanding tradition of CEDAR, we will be hosting a joint student day
with GEM on June 22nd, the Sunday before the conference. Keeping with the
spirit of joint activities, the first half of student day (before 1 pm)
will be *STUDENTS ONLY* in attendance as per GEM tradition, with students
giving tutorial talks and icebreakers. The afternoon block after lunch will
be open to everyone with several parallel blocks with more tailored talks
appealing to both early and late career students (and hopefully some
postdocs!).

Many of the speakers for the student day have been secured already due to
travel coordination on the CEDAR side, but we welcome any questions for the
speakers in this form and would like to confirm interest from the student
community for the various topics. If you have suggestions for speakers we
would of course welcome them as alternates given current events or to use
in future years, as there is always a need for volunteers to give new talks
at student day every year!
