The Space Environment and Radio Engineering (SERENE) group at the University of Birmingham in the UK is seeking an exceptional candidate to join the team focused on research in the ionosphere.
This 3.5-year Research Fellow position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in ionospheric physics and modelling. The successful candidate will engage in projects ranging from fundamental ionospheric physics and data assimilation modelling to D-region remote sensing, with the chance to develop and pursue independent research ideas.
SERENE’s work is used by over 70 institutions globally and plays a vital role in space weather policy and risk assessment. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a significant impact in both academic research and practical applications.
