Dear Colleagues,
This is a friendly reminder of the “May 2024 Solar & Geospace Superstorm Workshop” and the registration and abstract submission deadlines.
From 8-15 May 2024, the Sun displayed unusual activity, with multiple X-class flares and Earth-directed coronal mass ejections (CMEs) causing one the strongest geomagnetic storms in the Space Age era. The “May 2024 Solar & Geospace Superstorm Workshop” is specifically designed to bring together experts in solar, magnetospheric, and ionospheric & atmospheric physics to collectively concentrate on this exceptional event and comprehend its full implications. We encourage the submission of abstracts<https://jhuapl.app.box.com/f/1deb565462f544f3966a38763df00604> that involve data analysis and coordinated observations, as well as theories and numerical simulations relevant to this topic.
Venue: Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory, Laurel, Maryland
Dates: 28 October – 1 November 2024
Registration and abstract submission deadline: 15 September 2024
