CEDAR email: Registration is Open: Workshop on Geomagnetically Induced Currents

We are excited to open registration for the workshop on Geomagnetically
Induced Currents (GIC), to be held on October 21-24, 2024 in College Park,
MD. Because of the nature of the venue, in-person attendance is extremely
limited. Therefore, registration gives virtual access with the option to be
placed on an in-person wait list. To register, please visit this link:

cost to register.

The theme of this workshop is “Growing Partnerships to Advance Research &
Applications”, with the primary goal of developing a community engaged in
all aspects of GIC. The workshop will be dedicated to our friend and
colleague, Dr. Surjalal Sharma, who passed away in January of 2024. Dr.
Sharma was a leader in the field of space physics; he was a critical driver
for the formation of this workshop. A portion of the meeting will be
devoted to recognizing the career and legacy of Dr. Sharma.
