Hi Mack,
yes, I think that pointing to these pages would be easiest.
Concerning the deadline I suggest moving it later. At least this is my experience.
If you move it too early people do not get started on it, and then you have to move it
anyway. Also make sure that the finalist is determined by the end of March. One year
it took almost 4 weeks to determine the finalist.

Maybe stress in the prize announcement that the nomination should be short and NOT
a lot of effort to nominate somebody. For the distinguish it is a bit more work.

the committee collected the documents and I was not involved.

Hello all,

I have some pretty hard deadlines up until next Tuesday, but can definitely assist. Should we dig up past solicitation emails to make our lives easier? I can certainly poke around for that. I also know that the previous group had judging criterion. Are those still available? I did not see them in the poster. I can take the lead in sending out those solicitations as long as someone would be willing to set up meetings. Our teams platform at NRL is not great for having outside (i.e., outside the DoD) participation.

Looking forward to getting this stuff going,

Thank you Astrid.

Dear Ying and Mack - do either of you have bandwidth to set up a timetable for meetings/emails to the listserve? I am a bit swamped for the next month and unable to take an initiative on this, but want to make sure that we don't miss the deadline.

Much appreciated,

Asti

Dear Asti, Mack, and Ying, (cc Larisa)
I am happy to announce that the 2022 workshop website is live. It is time to push for nominations if you have not done so far.
The deadline for nomination is March 14.
Let me know if I should send out a cedar mail message or how I can support the process.

Here is a folder with the 2019 nominations<https://urldefense.us/v3/__https:/drive.google.com/drive/folders/1TXgdqj9gvtBy7RIXeUFmGVdCmpvsfzW4?usp=sharing__;!!Nv3xtKNH_4uope0!zKJqWrT6vb3YzVPhY4xQJOgK4GDIEphGso4E_xPRdmdDI7ps5c-jsEXG24qCXg$>. In 2020 I did not get them since they were sent to the committee.
This year I would like to request to share the nominations with me so I can archive them.

Let me know if you have questions.
Best regards,
Astrid

this is a friendly reminder that you will lead the solicitation and selection of the CEDAR prize and distinguish lectures.
This message contains the suggested timeline (please confirm or suggest changes) and the request to check/comment the web information (pdf attached)

The timeline is driven when we go public with the website. To give you some information.
We anticipate that by Wednesday 2/8 we will have the website available for the CSSC to provide input. This period will not be longer than 6 days, so that we can announce it to the public no later than 2/16.
At that point the email announcement about nomination should go out, and maybe you can encourage people to nominate.

The initial deadline for nominations was March 7, but I think we should move it to March 14.
Let me know if you agree.
The CSSC has 2-2.5 weeks for selection since in the beginning of April we want to put the plenary session together.

Summary
~Feb 14 or 16 email announcement
~ deadline March 14 (do you agree?)
~ selection by March 28 (is this your target?)
~ > March 29 notification of recipients (also send a note to the nominators; let me know if I should do this )

I attach the wording on the website at the moment. Please put comments in the pdf and send it back to me by the end of next week. Once you confirm the nomination deadline I can add it.

Thanks a lot for leading the selection,
Astrid
