Dear Colleagues,

This is a reminder that the deadline for submitting abstracts to the
Triennial Earth-Sun Summit (TESS) meeting is coming up on Friday, April
15th. We invite you to submit contributions to the special session on
"Solar and Atmospheric Science with Eclipses" covering any kind of
eclipse-related studies, past or future, of the atmosphere of the Sun or
Earth. Students and early-career researchers are especially encouraged to
participate.

Submissions can be made at this link:
    https://submissions.mirasmart.com/TESS2022/

The TESS meeting is a joint meeting of the AAS's Solar Physics Division and
the AGU's Space Physics and Aeronomy Section, and will be held in Spokane,
Washington from 8-12 August. More information about the meeting is here:
    https://aas.org/meetings/tess2022

We look forward to seeing you in Spokane in August!

Session Description:
Eclipses provide unique measurements and insights into the physical
conditions of the corona, to understand the connections from the solar
surface out into the heliosphere, which is especially intriguing in
comparison to new observations from Parker Solar Probe and Solar Orbiter.
At the same time, eclipses create a well-defined, localized, and impulsive
perturbation of the solar flux that can permit unique studies of the
Earth's dynamical atmospheric system, making them a valuable tool for
testing the validity and predictive power of physical models of the upper
atmosphere. This session, taking advantage of this joint meeting between
solar and terrestrial scientists, will highlight the broad range of studies
that can be done during these special events.
