Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that the Wave Perturbation - Global Ionosphere Thermosphere Model (WP-GITM) is now open source and available at the GITM repository: https://github.com/aaronjridley/GITM. WP-GITM is an extension of GITM to model the tsunami/earthquake-ionosphere coupling. Specifically, WP-GITM takes ocean surface displacement data or seismic ground motion data as input and captures upper atmospheric responses to acoustic-gravity waves induced by tsunamis or earthquakes. The repository contains a WP-GITM user manual in srcDoc/.

For further information, questions, and collaboration, please contact Xing Meng at Xing.Meng at jpl.nasa.gov<mailto:Xing.Meng at jpl.nasa.gov>.

Best regards,
Xing Meng, Olga Verkhoglyadova, Attila Komjathy, Yue Deng, and Aaron Ridley
