CEDAR email: JOB OPENING: Program Director for Geospace Facilities at NSF

Carrie Black’s excellent service as Program Director for the Geospace Facilities Program Director in the Geospace Section of NSF’s Division of Atmospheric and Geospace Sciences will be coming to end on August 16, 2020 when she moves over to the Astronomy Division where her new portfolio will include the Daniel K. Inouye Solar Telescope. We are looking for an experienced upper atmosphere scientist with a flair for scientific leadership and an interest in community service, who is excited about the opportunity to work with us to manage a diverse set of facilities and shape the investment in geospace science at NSF.  In return, the position offers a unique chance to experience the inner workings of federal research programs and to influence the geospace research priorities at the NSF.  A starting date around October 15, 2020 would be ideal but a later date can also be arranged.
