Applications are invited for a full-time post-doctoral position at University
of Colorado Boulder, Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental
Sciences (CIRES) and NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC). The
successful applicant will work on magnetosphere-ionosphere-thermosphere
coupling, with a particular focus on cross energy coupling in the inner
magnetosphere and its interaction with the ionosphere and thermosphere.
Proficiency in analyzing space- and ground- based observation data and
performing computer model simulations is desirable. A Ph.D. in a field
associated with space physics is required by the start date of appointment.

The review will start upon a receipt of an application. The position is
open until filled with the earliest possible start date of *May 1, 2019*.
The appointment start date can be negotiated. The initial appointment is
anticipated for one full year, with renewal likely for a second year,
contingent on performance and availability of research funds. A second year
of funding is anticipated. Salary will be commensurate with experience
according to the university salary scaling. Benefits, including medical,
dental, and vision coverage are included in the compensation package.
