Dear Colleagues,

Contributions are invited to the M-IS10: Coupling between the atmosphere, ionosphere and magnetosphere above thunderstorms session at the Japan Geoscience Union - American Geophysical Union (JpGU - AGU) Joint Meeting 2020, 24-28 May 2020, Makuhari Messe, Chiba, Japan

http://www.jpgu.org/meeting_e2020/sessionlist_en/detail/M-IS10.html

Final abstract submission deadline: 5:00 pm (JST), February 18, 2020 (Tuesday)

http://www.jpgu.org/meeting_e2020/

This session will cover all aspects of coupling between lightning, sprites, jets, elves and the atmosphere/ionosphere/magnetosphere system. This includes observations of transient luminous events, associated radio and electromagnetic effects (ULF-VHF), energetic radiation (X ray and gamma ray) effects, and theoretical results on these topics. This includes also studies about the impact of these phenomena at a local or global scale.

Conveners:

Victor Pasko, Penn State University, vpasko at psu.edu

Yukihiro Takahashi, Hokkaido University, spriteselves at gmail.com

Mitsuteru Sato, Hokkaido University, msato at ep.sci.hokudai.ac.jp

Teruaki Enoto, Kyoto University, teruaki.enoto at gmail.com
