Dear Colleagues,



We invite you to participate in the third annual “Snakes on a Spaceship” session at CEDAR, a place to highlight developments in the python and open source software in ITM physics.  This year we will focus on community building, strategy for development, and advanced topics.  The session will be held on Monday from 13:30 – 15:30 in the Zia / Eldorado room.



Tentative Agenda:



• Overview of Python in Space Science Survey (5 min) — Angeline Burrell

• Community Organization (10 min) — Alex deWolfe

• Application Usability Levels and software (10 min) — Adam Kellerman

• Advanced python - unit testing, etc. (20 min) — Russell Stoneback

• Repositories and DOIs (15 min) — Steve Morley

• Development on an Academic Timeline (5 min) — Angeline Burrell

• Discussion
