CEDAR email: Request for information about current CEDAR research state

Dear CEDAR community,


In 2011, a new* strategic plan for the CEDAR communit*y was
released. CEDAR: The New Dimension  (
http://cedarweb.vsp.ucar.edu/wiki/images/1/1e/CEDAR_Plan_June_2011_online.pdf)
called for a proactive development of a systems perspective to study the
upper atmosphere. It outlined six specific strategic thrusts intended to
guide the future of CEDAR research activities.



*We are requesting information from the CEDAR community about the current
state of CEDAR research, as framed by the current strategic plan.* Are we
further along achieving some goals than others? Where is there still work
to be done?



*The survey (https://surveys.illinois.edu/sec/1032135
<https://surveys.illinois.edu/sec/1032135>) *is intended to be completed in
between 5 and 15 minutes, and will ask your opinion on the state of
progress and relevance of the six strategic thrusts outlined in CEDAR: The
New Dimension. You will also be given an opportunity to provide information
about any publications relevant to the thrusts and any other information
you deem important.



*Deadline for responses is January 15, 2019.* The CEDAR Science Steering
Committee will compile the results and present a report at the 2019 CEDAR
Workshop.



*Please take a few minutes to provide your valuable input to this important
process.*
