Dear colleagues,
I would like to inform you that the Ionospheric Monitoring and Prediction Center (IMPC) of the German Aerospace Center plans to monitor the impact of solar eclipse on the ionosphere over the US in near real time (5 min delay) on 21 August 2017.
Whereas dual frequency navigation signals from GPS will provide the total electron content (TEC), VLF measurements will sound the bottomside ionosphere along radio links crossing the zone of totality.
