provide opportunities for U.S. IEEE members to provide expertise to the U.S
government and learn firsthand about the public policy process through
personal involvement. Each year, IEEE-USA sponsors four qualified IEEE
members to serve as government fellows who spend a year in Washington, D.C.
-- from September to August -- serving as advisers to key U.S. Department
of State or U.S. Agency for International Development decision-makers, or
the U.S. Congress.
*Congressional Fellowship*
Seeking two U.S. IEEE members interested in spending a year working for a
Member of Congress or a congressional committee.
*Engineering & Diplomacy Fellowship*
Seeking one U.S. IEEE member interested in spending a year serving as a
technical adviser at the U.S. Department of State.
*Engineering & International Development Fellowship*
Seeking one U.S. IEEE member interested in serving as a technical advisor
to the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
The Fellowships run from 1 September to 30 August of the following year.
