2016 JIREP - Jicamarca International Research Experience Program
Call for application - Deadline extended until February 15, 2016

Dear CEDAR community,

JIREP is an international internship program at the Jicamarca Radio Observatory in Lima, Peru.
The program is oriented to junior/senior undergraduate or first/second year graduate students majoring physics or engineering at universities around the World.

This program is an excellent opportunity for students to get hands-on experience on incoherent scatter radars and scientific instrumentation. During the internship, each JIREP student will be assigned a project related to equatorial aeronomy research or to instrumentation development.

Please consider the following dates to apply to the program.
• Application deadline: February 15, 2016
• Decision: February 29, 2016
• Starting date: Anytime between May 19 until June 20, 2016
• Duration: 10 weeks

The program will cover the travel expenses (to and from Lima) as well as a reasonable stipend. Given that the Observatory is located outside Lima city, transportation will be provided.
