Geospace disturbances during the March 17, 2015 great storm
CEDAR 2015
Time: Monday June 22, 4-6PM
Room: Kane 220
The March 17-18, 2015 geomagnetic storm has been the strongest so far in SC24. Various observations have been conducted to monitor the storm effect, including an ISR campaign, and initial inspection of the data shows strong disturbances globally. This session will be providing a forum to present observation, modeling and analysis of the geospace disturbances specifically for this event. As of now, a preliminary list of the topics to be covered by speakers includes, but not limit to, (1) In situ DMSP and CINDI observations, (2) ISR, TEC and other ground-based radio observations, (3) FPI and all-sky imager observations, (4) Poynting flux and other analysis. We are looking forward to your participation and discussion.
