Dear Colleagues,

The LPMR meeting website https://lpmrcires.colorado.edu
<http://cires.colorado.edu/events/lpmr/> is now fully
operational. Registration and Abstract Submission pages are available and
we start to accept registration and abstracts since April 1, 2015. The
abstract submission deadline is May 1, 2015.

On behalf of the organizing committee we would like to invite you to the
12th International Workshop on Layered Phenomena in the Mesopause Region
(LPMR) that will be held on the University of Colorado Boulder campus
during August 10-13, 2015. The goal of this meeting is to advance our
understanding of layered phenomena (such as mesospheric clouds, neutral and
ionized metal layers in the thermosphere and mesosphere, cosmic dust,
airglow, etc.) and their relationship with and impact on the environment in
the space-atmosphere interaction region (SAIR). We encourage all kinds of
research related to such topics, including observations with various
technologies, numerical modelings, laboratory measurements, data analysis
and theoretical studies, etc.

Tentatively, a short forum on lidar research and a mini-workshop on cosmic
dust are also being planned right before or after the LPMR workshop. Please
save the dates for August 2015 and plan your travels. If anyone needs a
visa to travel to US, please contact us at lpmr at cires.colorado.edu ASAP. We
will provide an invitation and assist you in visa applications.

Looking forward to seeing you in Boulder!

Sincerely,

Xinzhao Chu (UCB) and Dan Marsh (NCAR)
for the LPMR-12 organizing committee
