<< "Port Validation for CAM3.0" - On a 64bit Linux Cl, http://bb.cgd.ucar.edu//viewtopic.php?t=103 >>

Message: We performed the perturbation growth test (http://www.ccsm.ucar.edu/models/atm-cam/port/) on a 64bit linux cluster using the Intel Fortran Compiler v8.0.
<br />
<br />Here is the result:

<br />
<br />However, the plot from a linux cluster at NCAR which the webpage had mentioned is not found on the site. So I am wondering whether the result is right.
<br />
<br />Thanks in advance!

<< Compiling SCAM using gcc 3.4.2 on Fedora Core 3, http://bb.cgd.ucar.edu//viewtopic.php?t=101 >>
PosterdposseltPostedMon Jan 24, 2005 7:42 pm MST, http://bb.cgd.ucar.edu//viewtopic.php?p=300#300
Message: Since I last posted, I downloaded and compiled the gcc 3.2.2 compiler (along with g77, g++, and associated libraries). After recompiling netcdf and ncar graphics using gcc 3.2.2 and PGI, scam appears to work normally (including all graphic interfaces).
<br />
<br />Bottom line: the problem appears to be an incompatibility between the SCAM c-code and the gcc 3.4.2 compiler. If anyone else notices this problem, or has resolved it using the 3.4.2 version of gcc I would appreciate any further information.
