[cam-users] History files

I have finally gotten the model to run, however I am unsure exactly what
is in the history files I created, and I also have never worked with
netcdf files before and so I am unsure how to go about viewing them.  Am
I only supposed to get one history file per month, even if I specify
that I want variables to be written to history files every 24 hours? 
Also, does each history file contain a monthly average (or a 24-hour
average as the case may be) corresponding to each of the default
variables listed in the user's guide?
