Dear Sir/Madam:
Now I am going to use CAM2 to simulate East Asian climate. But I hope
that top pressure of model can be adjusted to 10hPa or lower in order that
I may use NCEP reanalysis data to produce the initial data. I don't know
whether this idea may come true.

If model top pressure can be adjusted to 10hPa how can I get the
values of A and B? Now model top pressur is 2.917hPa. According to the
formula(3.263) in the description of NCAR CAM3.0
p=A*p0+B*ps ,ps is surface pressure,p0 is a specified referrence pressure.
In the program A and B are defined. This puzzed me. I don't know how to get
the values of A and B? If model top pressure is adjusted to 10hPa how can I
get the valuses of A and B again?

I am looking forward to hearing from you.

                                          Yours
                                            steven
                                            2004-06-26
