Hello,

I was trying to execute CAM2 on Itanium2 running RHEl 3.0 Update 1 with Intel compilers.

It works fine, but I see a lot of floating-point software assist faults (FPSWA).

More of FPSWA:

However, ftz flag to flush denormals to zero is effective on numbers generated by the code. If there are any denormals in the input, they wont be affected. However when such denormals are consumed by the process, it generates the fault.

So, here is my question: are there any IEEE denormals in the “standard input” dataset of CAM2?

Thanks.

Regards,
Kalyan
