[cam-users] To run a dry planet model

Hi all,

I am trying to run CCM3 for a dry planet, all land no ocean. I plan to run the basic CCM3 for the 
first month, and then change the geography of the planet to be all land, without vegetation. 

I was wondering if anybody has run such a model before. I am not sure as to what variables in 
the datasets need to be changed. One idea is to change the 'ORO' field in the LSM restart file to 
make it all land. But, the question is where do we get the temperature, drainage and other fields 
for the new land that has been introduced in place of the ocean??
