Hi all,
I am a novice in learning how to run CAM. I ran into a problem for a
standard control run with initial conditions and SST provided by CAM2.0.1
package. I reconfigured the output variables in the second history file and
tested with one-month run. It seemed no problem at all. Then when I
submitted a 4-year control run, it failed at NCDATE=0001-05-05 (the start
date is 0000-09-01). Even I restarted it, it still failed at the same
timestep. The log file shows
NSTEP = 17712 8.942108938940608E-05 6.840573756732927E-06 252.241
9.84626E+04 2.453924801044269E+01 0.73 0.18
WSHIST: writing time sample 492 to h-tape 2 NCDATE=00010505 NCSEC= 0
Invalid argument
ENDRUN IS BEING CALLED
Abort
CAM run failed
Here is the part about history file configuration in my namelist input
fincl2 = 'TS:I', 'PSL:I', 'Q:I', 'T:I', 'TAUXCL:I', 'TAUXCI:I', 'CLOUD:I',
'CLDTOT:I'
fincl3 = 'CLDLOW:I', 'CLDMED:I', 'CLDHGH:I', 'TGCLDLWP:I', 'TGCLDIWP:I',
'REL:I', 'FLNT:I'
fexcl2 = 'FLNT', 'PRECT', 'PSL', 'TREFHT', 'TREFHTMN', 'TREFHTMX',
'TSMN','TSMX', 'OMEGA850', 'OMEGA600', 'QFLX', 'TS', 'TMQ', 'T850', 'T300',
'U850', 'U200', 'V850', 'V200', 'Z700', 'Z500', 'Z300'
TAUXCL and TAUXCI are not in master output list. I added several lines
in code to output them.
I had another "parallel" run. The two runs are only different in the
configurations of history files. And this "parallel" run has no problem at
all on NCDATE 0001-05-05.
It would be highly appreciated if someone can give me some hints how to
fix this problem or what causes this failure. Thanks a lot.
