The public releases do not provide the SOM code. SOM code may
be released in the future once the science is worked out.

This is how aqua_planet works. If you want to have sea-ice with
varying SST's you'll want to run without aqua_planet and supply
an initial dataset where PHIS, LANDM, LANDFRAC and SGH are zero
everywhere. Then the SST dataset will determine the location
of sea-ice.
