<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#1F497D">A far as I am aware (and someone please correct me if this is wrong) LU_INDEX (i.e. dominant land cover) is created from the LANDUSEF (i.e. land use fractions)
array. This step is redone when you run real.exe, so as Frank says it’s best to do this once you have your met_em files.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

When I did this kind of change, I found it had to be done after running real.exe, in the wrf initialization files. If you change it in the geo files, real changes it back.<br>
