<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left:36.0pt;text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:10.0pt">We are looking for two enthusiastic and self-motivated atmospheric/computational scientists to contribute to ongoing national and international programmes on meteorological
and air quality prediction (e.g. forecasting and analysis of atmospheric processes that influence air quality, atmospheric composition and interactions with climate). You will be responsible for air quality modelling, data processing and analysis including
emissions and other data processing (eg with SMOKE and GIS). You will contribute to design and organisation of research projects, preparation of funding proposals, managing relevant software and take a lead in problem solving day to day issues related to research
projects. You will assist with dissemination of results, writing and publishing of papers in high quality peer-reviewed international journals and present research results at relevant meetings. You will also be involved in other activities and projects including
the organisation of meetings and conferences, maintenance of the high performance computing cluster, websites and management of Atmospheric Composition Laboratory. You will assist in the supervision of student projects and undertaking teaching, where required.</span><span lang="EN-CA"><o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left:36.0pt;text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:10.0pt">You will have strong experience in the development and/or use of advanced atmospheric models, specifically WRF-CMAQ or WRF-Chem including pre-processing of data
such as emissions (e.g. using SMOKE and GIS) and relevant theoretical understanding of atmospheric and climate science such as boundary layer physics, air quality-climate interactions, dynamical and transformation atmospheric processes. You will have demonstrable
PhD level research experience and be skilled in programming, data analysis. Experience in technical and code/software maintenance on Linux based cluster systems will be desirable. In addition to having excellent communication and time management skills, you
will have a strong commitment to publishing papers in high quality journals. It is expected that you will be familiar with the use of large datasets and relating these to underlying mechanisms and multiscale processes.
