<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">I would like to produce using UPP the field ‘Richardson number on model surface’ for the first 5 levels of my model.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">I added them to wrf_cntrl.parm file but the output for the first level is missing whereas levels 2,3,4 and 5 are there.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">The “Richardson number on model surface field”, if I have understood properly, should be the gradient RI but it’s not clear<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">for me if the RI for the level L it is calculated using levels L and L+1 or L and L-1.
<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">If the latter is the case maybe RI at level 1 (L=1) it’s not created because level L-1 doesn’t exist?<o:p></o:p></span></p>
