<p class="MsoNormal">The GFS data files will be updated next month probably around 17 December 2014, with changes to the filenames and the addition of 0.25-degree-resolution data. See

<p class="MsoNormal">I’ve made a single test run with the new Vtable that appeared to complete successfully. Without this change, ungrib does not pick up the soil temperature and your WRF job may fail. Further testing by users is certainly called for using
the parallel data being posted by NCEP before the new data goes operational next month.<o:p></o:p></p>
