<div dir="ltr">Another way is to use NCO tools <a href="http://nco.sourceforge.net/">http://nco.sourceforge.net/</a> and "cut" out the tools you want, using ncks, or other command line operations. This has proven very useful to me when I am looking into only surface processes, so I usually cut out the vertical levels down to one. Or you can generate a new file (using very scriptable commands) with only the variables you need, and erase the big files. But the registry option is quite useful too. Depends on how much space you have to work with.</div>
