invite you to attend the 2013 Alaska Weather Symposium. The Symposium provides a forum for the exchange of operational and research information related to weather in the Alaska environment. Participation from academic, research, government, military and private sectors is encouraged.
Areas of focus include
- Remote sensing of the Alaska atmosphere
- Air-sea interaction
- Air quality research and renewable energy
- Downscaling weather and climate simulations
- Data assimilation challenges in regions with sparse data
- Hazardous event forecasting
However, all abstracts relating to weather in Alaska are welcome.
*Schedule/Venue*
This will be a two-day symposium held at the University of Alaska Fairbanks campus on Tuesday and Wednesday, 12-13 March 2013.
*Abstract Submission*
The deadline for one-paragraph abstracts for a 20-minute oral or a poster presentation is Tuesday, 22 January 2013.
*Registration*
Registration is required by Tuesday, 05 March 2013.
