[Wrf-users] Selecting eta_levels

Hello,

I am running wrf simulations in South America and I have 50 working eta_levels in my namelist.input file but I'd like to explore increasing that by a few levels to test the results. If I have 50 that work in my model paramaterization and namelist.input file, what is the best way to proceed to add 5 more levels or so? Does the spacing somehow have to be consistent? Does WRF expect eta levels to be consistent? In other words, is it likely that my WRF run will crash if I make up 5 more eta_levels and add or insert them to my working set of 50?

Thank you,
Randall
