Hi Tatiana,

I'm not using the same GFS data but I don't understand why you're converting from grib2 to grib1 before running ungrib? Why don't you try to run directly on grib2 data?
Ignore my mail if I misunderstood!

Hello All!
I began to use the data from  site ftp://nomads.ncdc.noaa.gov/GFS/Grid3/
after the conversion from GRIB2 GRIB1, using the new versions of the cnvgrib program package. After passing the steps: geogrid, ungrib, metgrid, I received the following errors when executing program "real.exe". In what the reason? Dear Colleagues! Tell me, please!
