Hi Wolker

i've made a lot of similar simulations in complex terrain in Italy,
Romania, France and with small domains in many other part of the world for
wind scouting projects
Are you searching for a completely resolved model at 100 m resolution, with
no mass consistent downscaling? Microphysics routine and radiation driver
at this resolution (model stability and computational cost apart) could
produce weird results. Normally I turn off MP and radiation schemes from in
the inner nests with resolution above than 600 m (horizontal resolution)
and the rest of meteorological model at 250-400.

a fully resolved solution with a 1000x1000 domain ideally with 85-90
vertical levels (at least) and a dT of a fraction of second (plus the rest
of computational cost for parents domains) means a huge memory footprints,
a minimum set of a thousand CPUs and a very large amount of I/O load and
storage space; it will be a very expensive job, especially if computed for
a mainly flat terrain (or near to flat terrain) and homogeneous landuse.
you could have same results with a more cheaply approach
