[Wrf-users] Running 360-day calendar simulations

Hi Dom,

Thanks for your reply! Have this 360-day calendar in WRF/WPS that you added been published? Could you point me which source code in which version I should download and read if they are available? I would like to see what exactly has been done to handle this? Is it shifting days from February to January and copy days from 30th day to 31st day for those 31-day months?

Currently we are using WRFV3.3.1

Thanks so much!

Jiali

Hi Jiali,

I have just added support for the 360-day calendar to WRFV3.5.1/WPSV3.5.1 in a similar way to the no-leap calendar (#ifdef … #else etc), noticing that there are several comments in the WRF source code about a proper implementation of different calendars. Which version do you need it for?

Cheers

Dom

Dear all,

Could anyone advice how to handle the 360-day calendar data (e.g., HadGEM) in WRF? I know WRF can handle no-leap year data, but did not find any information about 360-day calendar.

Here is a link that asked the same question here.

Thanks,
