[Wrf-users] WRF Compilation Error

Good, let's look here:

         if [ -f $(NETCDFPATH)/lib/libnetcdff.a ] ; then \
           $(FC) $(FFLAGS) $(LDFLAGS) -o diffwrf diffwrf.o $(OBJSL)
bitwise_operators.o ../../frame/wrf_debug.o
../../frame/module_wrf_error.o $(ESMF_IO_LIB_EXT) $(LIBS) -lnetcdff ;\
         else \
           $(FC) $(FFLAGS) $(LDFLAGS) -o diffwrf diffwrf.o $(OBJSL)
bitwise_operators.o ../../frame/wrf_debug.o
../../frame/module_wrf_error.o $(ESMF_IO_LIB_EXT) $(LIBS) ;\
         fi ; \

<-- it handles two cases: either file $(NETCDFPATH)/lib/libnetcdff.a
exists and then it is added to the linker arguments, or else it is
not. I don't know what it means, maybe diffwrf could be built without
netcdf support or can provide its own implementations? Anyway, if it
falls into "else" brach and those unresolved symbols are from
libnetcdff, then that's the problem. Could you check
$(NETCDFPATH)/lib/libnetcdff.a exists and/or add debugging echo
"Check"; line to the beginning of the "else" branch and see if it is
reached?
