[Wrf-users] error when do ungrib.exe

Hi,
concerning the ungrib.exe error, I had the same problem and in my case 
it was caused by some ascii strings at the beginning of the GRIB file 
that was inserted by the transfer protocol. If you remove them, opening 
the GRIB file with an editor you will recognize them, the ungrib.exe 
program should be fine.
