Post-Doctoral Position in MJO Research

The Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science at the
University of Miami invites applications for a post-doctoral position in
the Division of Meteorology and Physical Oceanography. We are seeking
a highly motivated postdoctoral research associate with experience
in high-resolution (mesoscale and/or cloud-system resolving scale)
modeling to conduct independent research on initiation mechanisms
for the Madden-Julian Oscillation. A tropical channel model based on
MM5 with two-way nesting domains of cloud-system resolving resolutions
is available to the research but other modeling tools (e.g., WRF) are  
also
possible. Interested applicants should submit curriculum vitae, a  
cover letter
including a brief statement of research interest, and a list of names
and addresses (including email addresses) of three professional  
referees.
Applications will be reviewed as received and the position kept open
until filled. The position is available immediately but the starting  
date
is negotiable. The appointment will be initially one year, renewable for
up to three years. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
