Hi Angel,

I have the same trouble some time ago with the DA in MM5.
The file format is very tricky, so I get no error message in the log
file, because it was able to read the header of my file but not the data
inside.
Begin by turn off every buddy check and Quality Control, to see if that
has an effect.
After that if you still don't see any improvement I suggest you to use
one of the sample data given by NCAR as a test.

 Hello,

I ran WRF-3DVAR without problems and I added an observation with
high winds and high temperatures, but in the final RIP images I don't
see any change before and after the assimilation. What can be the
reason for this? Is it possible some quality control to eliminate the
observational data because it's out of some range? Or may be the
background error is important here? I don't know much about this
"be_cv.2-3" files.

Thanks for your ideas and help!

 Angel
