As a consequence, weather and climate models must include realistic representations of these interactions, often through parameterizations. Many of the shortcomings in weather and climate models, ranging from the poor representation of rainfall to the inability to simulate key modes of weather and climate variability, are ascribed to erroneous features in parameterizations. This session aims to review recent progress and to highlight prospects for future developments in parameterizations. Join our keynote speakers on global, regional and ocean modelling, Anton Beljaars (ECMWF), Axel Seifert (DWD) and Bill Large (NCAR) and contribute your science! The session is open to contributions in any area of parametrisation, including but not limited to, development, stochastic methods, evaluation, and implementation in NWP and climate models.</span></font></div></div><div style="color: rgb(54, 61, 76);"><div><span style="font-size: 14px;"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-size: 14px;">The deadline for abstracts (maximum 250 word) is 24 February.</span><span style="font-size: 14px;"> </span></div></div><div style="color: rgb(54, 61, 76);"><p><span style="font-size: 14px;">More information on the submission process can be found on:</span></p></div><div style="color: rgb(54, 61, 76);"><p><a href="http://wwosc2014.org/side_call/instructions_abstract-e.shtml" style="color: purple; font-size: 14px;">http://wwosc2014.org/side_call/instructions_abstract-e.shtml</a></p></div><div style="color: rgb(54, 61, 76);"><p><span style="font-size: 14px;">For more information on the conference, see:</span></p></div><div style="color: rgb(54, 61, 76);"><p><span style="font-size: 14px;"><a href="http://wwosc2014.org/" style="color: purple;">http://wwosc2014.org/</a>.</span></p></div><div style="color: rgb(54, 61, 76);"><p><span style="font-size: 14px;">and for sessions and key note speakers:</span></p></div><div style="color: rgb(54, 61, 76);"><p><a href="http://wwosc2014.org/side_program/scientific_topics/topics-e.shtml" style="color: purple; font-size: 14px;">http://wwosc2014.org/side_program/scientific_topics/topics-e.shtml</a></p></div><div style="color: rgb(54, 61, 76);"><p><span style="font-size: 14px;">See you in Montreal.</span></p></div><div style="color: rgb(54, 61, 76);"><div style="font-size: medium;"><br></div><div style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-size: 14px;">Christian Jakob (Monash University)</span></div><div style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-size: 14px;">Andy Brown (UK MetOffice)</span></div><div style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-size: 14px;">Martin Miller (ECMWF)</span></div></div><div style="color: rgb(54, 61, 76);"><span style="font-size: 14px;"><br></span></div></div><div><br></div><div class="unibox-signature"><div style="color: rgb(54, 61, 76);">Christian
