The following news article, posted by the CISL Research Data Archive at NCAR, has been updated:

"Globus data transfers now available for custom data requests"

NCAR RDA users can now download subset data requests using the Globus data
transfer service. To initiate a Globus transfer, select the "Globus download"
option from the data request download page. An e-mail from Globus will then be
sent to your RDA user e-mail address with a link to initiate the data transfer.

A Globus account is required to use this service. Sign-up is free, and RDA users
may log into their Globus account using their RDA user e-mail and password after
registering for a Globus account. To do this, select "alternate login" on the
Globus login page, then select the "NCAR RDA" alternate identity provider.

The Globus data transfer service uses the GridFTP protocol for data transfers
and provides a fast, easy, and reliable way to transfer data between two
endpoints. For more information on using Globus, see the Globus primer page at
www.globus.org/file-transfer [https://www.globus.org/file-transfer].
