But it uses PyNIO and I also noted that there is not (yet) an equivalent function to *gsn_add_shapefile_polylines()*. Since PyNIO was placed into maintenance mode, I'm learning PyNGL without using PyNIO. So, what package would be suggested to open a shapefile in Python, so that I could add the content of the shapefile into PyNGL graphics?
