<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><font face="verdana, sans-serif">The University of Arizona, Princeton University, and NOAA's Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory (GFDL) are seeking applicants for a post-doctoral research
scientist to develop and analyze experiments using a new high-ocean resolution climate model toward understanding ongoing changes in the Southern Ocean. The position involves interaction with a large group of scientists focused on observing and simulating
these changes. The position is with the University of Arizona and funded through an NSF grant focused on the Southern Ocean (SOCCOM, Southern Ocean Carbon and Climate Observations and Modeling). The post-doc will be located in Princeton and associated with
the Climate Processes and Sensitivity Group at GFDL. The successful applicant will spend the majority of his/her time at GFDL in Princeton, New Jersey with several trips to the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ annually.<u></u><u></u></font></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><font face="verdana, sans-serif"><br></font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><font face="verdana, sans-serif">Applicants should have a PhD in atmospheric sciences, oceanography or related science. Candidates should possess (a) a good understanding of climate variability
and change and associated ocean dynamics with a focus on the complex processes active in the Southern Ocean, and (b) the ability to analyze global climate simulations by making use of climate and oceanographic datasets. <u></u><u></u></font></p>
