level in the field of weather analysis and forecasting. Candidates are sought
with research expertise in one or more of the following areas: synoptic
meteorology, mesoscale meteorology, and forecasting techniques. Candidates
focusing on severe weather (e.g., tropical cyclones, tornadoes, or extreme
precipitation events) are of particular interest. A Ph.D. in atmospheric
sciences or a related field is required at the time of appointment. The
