We are seeking a Manager, Agricultural Weather Services who will be responsible for providing leadership and operational direction to the Agricultural Products business area. This position requires a highly-motivated individual who can work in a fast-paced, real-time, client-driven environment.<BR>
<BR>
<BR>
Candidate must have crop forecasting experience, preferably in the US and South America. Required work hours are 4:00am - 1:00pm; please do not apply if you are unable to work these hours.<BR>
<BR>
Job Functions<BR>
<BR>
* Responsible for the creation and supervision of various short- and long-term agricultural forecast and analysis products for weather and crop production in areas throughout the world<BR>
* Provide telephone consultation and seminar presentations to CROPCAST clients<BR>
* Provide customer service to solve client issues<BR>
* Facilitate revenue and profit growth<BR>
* Manage staff to ensure operational excellence in all products and services created by the business area including the timely, reliable and accurate delivery of all weather products<BR>
* Carry out supervisory responsibilities for 5+ staff in including training employees, appraising performance and planning, assigning and directing work<BR>
* Provide highly credible consultations for clients<BR>
* Network with clients, potential customers, teaming partners, consultants, and leaders in the weather community to facilitate new business and product development and improve existing products and ensure client retention<BR>
* Respond promptly to customer and staff needs including requests for service and assistance<BR>
* Work to continually improve operational efficiencies, processes, products and services<BR>
* Study and interpret synoptic reports, maps, photographs, and prognostic charts to predict long and short range weather conditions<BR>
* Operate computer graphic equipment to produce weather reports and maps for analysis and distribution to clients<BR>

Required Qualifications<BR>
<BR>
* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to all levels of staff and clients and respond to common inquiries or complaints<BR>
* Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Meteorology or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience<BR>
* Knowledge of world crops, regions and growth cycles<BR>
* Minimum of 3 years weather forecasting experience with an emphasis on agriculture<BR>
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet client-driven deadlines<BR>
* Experience cultivating new business opportunities<BR>
* Ability to leverage creative thinking and innovative ideas to meet client needs and develop new products<BR>
* Ability to exhibit balanced emotions, strong interpersonal skills and a professional appearance and demeanor at all times while managing competing demands<BR>
* Ability to use time efficiently to prioritize and plan work activities, set goals and objectives and organize schedules and tasks for staff<BR>
* Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities and contribute to building a positive team spirit<BR>
* Ability to spend up to 10% of time on business travel<BR>
* Ability to demonstrate group presentation skills including public speaking<BR>
* U.S Citizenship is required<BR>
* Eligiblity for U.S. Security Clearance is required<BR>
