Doctoral Position in Satellite Sensing System Design </u></b><b><o:p></o:p></b></p>

<p class=MsoNormal>The Waterloo Centre for Atmospheric Sciences (WCAS) has an
immediate opening for a qualified candidate with experience in remote sensing
and atmospheric radiative transfer to participate in the design and instrument
modelling phases of a proposed satellite based atmospheric remote sensing
mission. In collaboration with a private sector, the project proposes to
develop a novel system to measure greenhouse gases and air pollutants in the
lower troposphere. The successful applicant will lead the development of an
end-to-end model of the proposed instrument that will be used to determine
accurately its expected performance specifications. The successful candidate
will also advice on the design and development of the instrument and evaluate
the design as it evolves. The position is funded for one year, renewable
pending successful completion of the initial design and its acceptance for further
study and /or lunch. This position will be at the University of Waterloo.<o:p></o:p></p>
